A bit about myself and my background.
Growing up in Perth, Australia during the 90's, I was always fascinated by technology. Equipped with a never-ending supply of curiosity, and a mind that likes to solve problems; I always took a pro-active role in trying to understand more of technology as it has continued to reshaped the world around us.
I tried multiple times to teach myself programming as a teenager, though it wasn't until the age of 17 when I graduated and made it into University where I wrote my first Java application that printed "Hello World". I still vividly remember that moment, having my mind blown as I got the computer to do what I told it! a door had opened that has never since closed. From that day, alongside my university studies, I spent hours on end, going down every rabbit hole I could find to learn more and more about programming.
I was fortunate to find a job as a software developer while in my 2nd year of university, and it taught me more than I could have imagined. I was able to apply what I was learning in the real world while continuing to study more of the theoretical and practical aspects at university. That journey began over 10 years ago now, and the learning has only accelerated each year. Moving to Melbourne in 2016 further propelled my experience into the professional world, seeing the entire start to finish process for software projects while working at different start-ups, digital agencies and consultancies to get to where I am today.
